- Launch the Google Home app
- Tap on Settings
- Choose Communication > Video & Voice apps > Google Meet. It depends on the device, you may need to tap on the Google Duo.

2. Make Calls on Google Nest Hub Max Using Google Supported Calling
This feature is only for users in US and Canada. It is important to know that Google Nest Hub Max is not accessible for Telstra and Taiwan Mobile. This feature also will end its support to Telecom Italia users in the end of December, this year, 2023
Here are the instructions to call using Google Supported Calling on Nest Hub Max:
- Be sure that you have set up a subscription with Google Voice, or Google Fi.
- Go to Google Home
- Tap on your account.
- Verify that your Google Account is one that connected to your Google device. If it is correct, then tap X to close the account window. Hit the dropdown icon if you want to switch accounts. After that, tap another account. Here, you can also add another account.
- Choose Settings > Communication > Call Provider
- Choose your Calling provider.
- Follow the steps to connect your account.
It is important to know that all calls will be charged based on your call provider’s plan. It is also possible if data charges will be applied. You must also live in a location within the service area of the call provider you used.
3. Call Using Google Assistant
Once you have set up the right calling method, you can event start a call by using voice commands. You can call one device by using Google Assistant. Start by saying “Hey Google, video call [speaker name]. To use this method, you must turn on Personal Results.
Receive Calls on Your Nest Hub Max
You can receive the incoming calls from your beloved family using Google Meet. To receive the calls, you need to complete the things below:
1. Set Up Google Meet Calling on Device

2. Enable Personal Results
To enable it, open Google Home > Settings > Google Assistant > Personal Results > Get Started > Turn on > Done.
3. Turn Do Not Disturb Off
Go to Home app > Be sure that the mobile device or tablet is connected to the same account as your display > Settings > Digital wellbeing > Tap the device to turn on downtime or create a new one by choosing Add device filter.
4. Turn Night Mode Off
Be sure that your tablet or mobile device is connected to the same account as your display. Go to Google Home app > Tap and then hold the device’s tile > check the top right and tap on Settings > Notifications & Digital wellbeing > Night Mode > Disable Night Mode.
5. Turn Downtime Off
Go to the Google Home app > Settings > Digital Wellbeing. Tap on the schedule that you want to change, and then disable the schedule, tap Save.
It is important to note that Google-supported calling and mobile calling cannot support incoming calls.
