How to Receive Calls on Google Nest Hub

Using Google Nest and Home speaker displays, it is possible to make calls to family, friends and your business partners using your voice. This feature is available on Google Nest Hub, Google Nest Hub second gen, and Google Nest Hub Max.

Making Calls

Before making video calls on your Nest Hub, make sure that your device has a camera. Nest Hub and Nest Hub second gen can receive video, but you cannot send video. It is important to set up your Google Duo first, then you can start making a call from your smart display.

Here are the instructions to set up the Google Duo on Nest Hub:

• Launch the Google Home app
• Tap on the Settings
• Tap on the Communication > Video and Voice apps > Google Meet. It depends on the device you use, you may need to tap on Google Duo.
• Continue by following the instructions for finishing setup.

To make a video call, simply say:

“Hello Google, video call (contact)”

Can Google Nest Hub Receive Phone Calls?

If you want to receive calls on Google Nest Hub, you can! You can get calls from Google Meet on your Nest smart displays. To receive the call, you can say “Hello Google, answer the call”. If you want to decline a call, then you can say “Hello Google, decline the call”. Using touch options Answer to receive the calls and Decline to reject it.

If you use Google Nest Hub Max, then you can use the touch alternatives. Tap the line located on the top or the side if you want to receive the calls. To reject, then press and hold the line located on the side or the top of the screen.
